Expert on geostrategic trends and technology competition
Randolf Carr, Project Leader at Sinolytics, advises on how China's evolving global role and a volatile geopolitical and technological landscape impact strategic business decisions. His focus is on trends in Europe–China and U.S.–China relations, Indo-Pacific security, and tech and industrial policy.
Before joining Sinolytics, Randolf spent nine years at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), where he was a Researcher and Senior Policy Advisor responsible for its Global Order and Technology programs. In 2023, he was also a Visiting Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) in Tokyo. Prior to his time at the MSC, he gained his first working experience at the German Federal Foreign Office, the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), and the American-German Institute (AGI), among others.
Randolf holds an M.Sc. in Political Communication from the University of Glasgow and a B.A. in International Relations from the TU Dresden.
