3-12 months Analyst/Associate position in Sinolytics’ Social Credit System team (full-time/paid)
Sinolytics is looking for an analyst/associate to start 1st October 2021. Applications are open until 20th September. Working location can either be Beijing, Shanghai or Berlin.

Sinolytics (www.sinolytics.de) will accept applications for a paid, full-time position with a duration of three to twelve months. The analyst position is open to graduates with previous work experience. The associate position is open to current students or recent graduates. We offer a competitive salary level.

Sinolytics is a young and fast-moving company headquartered in Berlin, Germany. As a member of Sinolytics’ Social Credit System team you will have the opportunity to contribute to client assignments and gain first-hand experience in China-focused strategy development for international firms. You will be able to hone your research, analytical and communication skills by working closely with a diverse group of experienced and dedicated experts who find joy in research and problem-solving. Ideally you also have programming skills and enjoy exploring automized analysis-tools.

Your key activities include:
  • Conduct policy research and monitoring as well as data gathering especially related to China’s Social Credit System
  • Support database maintenance and programming of online libraries and surveys
  • Analyze findings and drive to client implications
  • Help prepare client communication and presentation materials
  • Participate in internal meetings, discussions, and trainings
  • Support administrative tasks and other assignments as needed

Requirements:
  • Educational background: BA in law, IT, political science, economics or other relevant field, MA and/or overseas study experience a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities, strong team player
  • Basic programming skills and/or familiarity with online survey tools (e.g. Python, JavaScript, html, css and database)
  • Proficient Chinese and English language skills a must

3-6 months short-term Associate/Intern position with Sinolytics China (full-time/paid)
Sinolytics’ China office is open for applications for Q4 2021 and for 2022 slots. Working location of the internship can either be Beijing or Shanghai.

Sinolytics (www.sinolytics.de) will accept applications on a rolling basis for paid, full-time internship with a minimum duration of three months. The associate positions are open to current students or recent graduates. We offer a competitive salary level.

Sinolytics is a young and fast-moving company headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to client assignments and gain first-hand experience in China-focused strategy development for international firms. You will be able to hone your research, analytical and communication skills by working closely with a diverse group of experienced and dedicated experts who enjoy research and problem-solving.

Requirements:
  • Educational background: BA in economics, business administration, political science, law, sociology or other relevant field, MA and/or overseas study experience a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities, openness to challenge and rethink conventional assumptions, and dedication to support our clients in understanding today’s rapidly changing China
  • Proficient Chinese and English language skills, working/living experience, or other affinities to Europe are a plus

Internship Program (Berlin or Zurich Office)
We are happy to receive applications for 2021/ 2022 slots.

Sinolytics (www.sinolytics.de) will accept applications on a rolling basis for remunerated, full-time internships with a minimum duration of three months. The internship program is open to current students or recent graduates.

Sinolytics is a young and fast-moving start-up in the center of Berlin. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to challenging analysis and consulting projects, to work with a team of experienced and dedicated China experts and to gain first-hand experience in China-focused strategy development and business advice.

Requirements:
  • Studies in economics, business administration, political science, China studies or other relevant field; applicants with background in computer science or engineering are welcome to apply
  • Excellent Chinese language skills (speaking and reading at HSK5 level or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical abilities on China-related topics
  • Experience in living/studying in China and at least one working experience/internship relevant to Sinolytics’ work
  • Curiosity, openness to challenge and rethink conventional assumptions, and dedication to understanding today’s rapidly changing China
  • Professional English skills

Our working language is English. Non-EU citizens, including Chinese native speakers, are welcome to apply. Accepted candidates will be responsible for arranging their own visa if one is required. However, Sinolytics will support this process with letters of invitation, internship contracts or other necessary documentation.
