Berlin, Germany
ASAP, ~20 hours per week, 6 - 12 months contract (can be extended)

Key activities:

1.
Support data source collection and visualization on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to geopolitics, China's economic, industrial and technology policies, supply chains, and cybersecurity.
2.
Build internal and client-facing agentic tools and workflows to support geopolitical risk assessment and strategic decision-making.
3.
Support RAG-based search over internal knowledge, and contribute to technical documentation.
4.
Actively participate in internal team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and professional training to develop your tech and consulting skills.

Requirements:

1.
Studies in computer science, data science, and IT backgrounds are a plus, but not required. if you have the relevant skills, we encourage you to apply.
2.
A track record of building things: projects, hackathons, or other independent work. AI-assisted coding is welcome, with awareness of the security and reliability tradeoffs that come with agentic coding harnesses.
3.
Comfort engaging with tech stack of AWS cloud, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, SQL, agent frameworks, MCP, and RAG.
4.
Experience translating business or product requirements into technical requirements and deliverables.
5.
A genuine interest in staying current with AI developments, paired with a drive for continuous learning and professional growth.
6.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
7.
Familiarity with business/strategy consulting, strong analytical skills, geopolitics, or the Chinese context is a bonus.
8.
Fluency in English speaking and writing is essential; proficiency in Chinese is highly valued for data collection, and other languages are a bonus.

Important:
This is a part-time position (~20 hours/week) on a 6–12 month contract, with the possibility of extension. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with an expected start date of ASAP to October. Please note your preferred start date in your application.
